- On Friday, September 4, 2026 I am back home after thoroughly enjoying a week at the Timber Lodge.
- We actually stayed at the Timber Lodge on Windy Lane in Sevierville, TN instead of the Sherwood Forest Lodge Dan had looked at earlier.
- There were 17 bedrooms all with a bathroom and some with bunk beds. I stayed in room 15 in the basement which had a queen bed and a bathroom. The shower in my bathroom and most was very small but usable.
- The main floor had a large kitchen, dining and living space along with a pool room. The living space had 5 couches and the dining space had 4 large tables with benches. I set up my laptop permanently at the end of one of the tables.
- The kitchen had two stoves, two refrigerator / freezer units, two dishwashers, and cabinets filled with a large set of dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, pots, pans and more.
- The Basement had the game room and theater as well as several rooms. One side had a door in one of the bedrooms going out to the downhill side where a fire pit and hot tubs were. Bedrooms on the downhill side had windows.
- More bedrooms were on the top floor and the upper floor and basement were accessed by a small spiral staircase.
- I put 884 miles in the Blazer along with the help of many other drivers.
- The 4 door Blazer from Dollar had only 1396 miles on it when I picked it up from the Nashville airport.
- The Blazer could pair with my Android phone and I could use Google Maps on the ten inch touchscreen display on the console. The Blazer could be started with the key in your pocket with a push button on the dash.
- It has a lot of trunk room and 4 people were really comfortable in it. A fifth can fit in the back seat.
- Jordan, Alex and others drove the car as one of 5 vehicles for 29 people while we were at the Timber Lodge.
- Dan had the 10 passenger van and did a lot of pickups and drop offs and pick ups to the Knoxville airport.
- I did two drop offs at the Knoxville airport including one on the way back to Nashville for my flight.
- I dropped off Alex, Valerie and their child on my way to Nashville on the final day.
- I dropped off Steve and Kristi-Anne the day before.
- We visited Dollywood and the Dollywood Splash Country resorts.
- We visited the Smokey Mountain National Forrest.
- We visited Ripley's Aquarium and the Titanic Museum.
- We visited Tuckaleechee Caverns: Home of the "Big Room" & Silver Falls
- I visited Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., TENNESSEE JED'S Craft Sandwiches, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and more in Gatlinburg Tennessee with various parts of the group in several trips from the Timber Lodge.

- I was upgraded to first class on the SEA to FAI segment but WiFi was unavailable.
- On Saturday, August 22, 2026 Kathy sent me her itinerary for the nonstop Delta flight from Seattle to Nashville that arrives 11:55 PM Monday night.
- I have told her I will let the hotel know her name so she can get a key from the front desk after taking an Uber from the airport to the hotel.
- We will have all day Tuesday to spend in Nashville before we head to the Sherwood Forest resort.
- On Friday, August 21, 2026 I was upgraded to a premium 9F seat from 11A for the SEA BNA segment a couple days before my Nashville trip.
- There are still 7 first class seats for this flight and 3 for the FAI SEA segment.
- On Monday, August 10, 2026 I got an eMail reminder of the Nashville Dollar Car Rental I have already paid for.
- On Saturday, August 1, 2026 I talked to Kathy for over an hour and a half.
- She was talking about joining me in Nashville and being a passenger both to and from the Sherwood Forest Resort.
- She told me that Delta has two direct flights to Nashville each day.
- After the call I checked the room I had rented at the Drury Plaza Hotel in Downtown Nashville was a two room Suite with a King Bed in one room and a Sofa Sleeper in the other room that can easily accommodate both of us.
- On Wednesday, May 20, 2026 I got notice of a schedule change for both to and from Nashville.
- Both were only a few minutes change in departure time same flight number and arrival time for both segments
- On Tuesday, May 5, 2026 I booked flights, a rental car and two nights in Nashville.

- I added the calendar section with the Cabo vacations on either side and the Sherwood Forest Resort in Gatlinburg Tennessee part of the vacation.
- I still have to arrange the flights, car rental, and optional extra nights in Nashville.
- On Sunday, April 5, 2026 I talked to Dan for 45 minutes.
